Sanin RegionThe stage for this Sanin area bike trip is Tottori and Shimane, starting from Yonago Airport. On day one, you'll enjoy anime culture and hot springs in Tottori, then on day two, you'll ride through historic streets and seasonal scenery in Shimane. It's a chill 2-day, 1-night trip to experience both prefectures from a cyclist's point of view.
DAY 1
After about a 1.5-hour flight from Haneda Airport, I arrived at Yonago Kitaro Airport. To get ready for the ride the next day, I headed over to Sakai Minato and stayed overnight. The next morning, I started at Sakai Minato Station and rode east along the Tottori Uminami Road, aiming for Yurihama-cho while cruising along the Sea of Japan.
