2 Days in Ube, Yamaguchi

Starting from Shin-Yamaguchi Station, we’re setting off on a two-day, one-night bike trip exploring Ube City’s cool spots—famous as a pilgrimage site for the anime "Evangelion"—checking out its industrial areas, and soaking in the stunning views of the Seto Inland Sea.

DAY 1

I took the Shinkansen with my bike from Tokyo to Shin-Yamaguchi Station. Starting from there, I rode all the way around to Ube City, enjoying the streets decked out with “Evangelion all over town,” while making sure to savor some great local food on this smooth, fun ride.
